ACI Strategic Plan 2026–2029
The ACI Strategic Plan 2026–2029 sets out our priorities and objectives for the next three years. It was officially launched by Jennifer Murnane O'Connor, Minister of State at the Department of Health with special responsibility for Public Health, Wellbeing and the National Drugs Strategy, at the 2026 ACI Annual Event and AGM.
Developed through consultation with members, volunteers, Board Directors, and stakeholders, the plan reflects our commitment to supporting addiction professionals, strengthening our organisation, and advocating for our members and the wider sector.
Building on the achievements of our previous Strategic Plan, the Strategic Plan 2026–2029 focuses on four key areas:
- Serving Our Members and Building Our Membership
- Supporting Professional Development
- Advocating and Influencing for Our Members and Sector
- Organisational Development and Sustainability
Building on Our Progress
Our 2023–2025 Strategic Plan focused on four key areas: building the profile of ACI, supporting members, maintaining accreditation standards, and organisational development.
Over this period, we achieved significant progress across the organisation. Some of our key achievements included:
- Strengthened ACI's identity, visibility, and communications
- Enhanced member engagement through new initiatives, including ACI Connect and the Supervisors Forum
- Expanded member CPD opportunities
- New member supports and resources, including ACI ID cards
- Maintained accreditation standards and strengthened collaboration with educational providers
- Increased communication and transparency regarding CORU
These achievements provide a strong foundation for the priorities and direction set out in the ACI Strategic Plan 2026–2029.
