🏛️ ACI Contributes to the Oireachtas Committee Discussions on Intergenerational Trauma
We were privileged to contribute to the Joint Committee on Drugs Use session on intergenerational trauma, held in Leinster House on Thursday 16th October, 2025. Representing ACI were our Chair, Dr. James O'Shea, and Board Members Dr. Laura O’Reilly and Jay Collins.
We joined Dr. Sharon Lambert, member of The Psychological Society of Ireland, and Caroline O'Reilly, Addiction Counsellor and Psychotherapist, to discuss how trauma and addiction are deeply connected, and how trauma-informed policy and practice are essential across all systems of care.
